POLYNESIAN MUSIC & DANCE FESTIVAL

Speakers

Hui Fest is a Polynesian festival where Tahiti and San Francisco become one with one of the most iconic dance troupes of our time “Te Maeva”

The idea for Hui Fest came about in 2017 and evolved from a simple block party for our community to an idea much bigger. Our goal is to create a community and build bridges between people through culture. Growing up learning Ori Tahiti (Tahitian Dance)  we were able to create long lasting friendships with people we would have not met otherwise. For this we are forever be grateful. Our hope is that Hui Fest will do the same for others.

To honor our teachers and mentors who have passed away before we could say goodbye. Hui Fest's mission is to create the dream stage for every dancer or musician and offer a large enough venue. It is a celebration that will be seen and heard by our metua (teachers) watching from above. It is their legacy and our mission to continue sharing gift of Ori Tahiti.

Alongside beautiful and lively performances there will be plenty of great opportunities to interact and learn the history and the traditions of Tahiti and other islands of polynesia or the Pacific. During Hui Fest there will be various activities throughout the day like photo opportunities with art installations, artisan and crafts vendors with special workshops for the whole family..

By hosting this event we hope that our passion for performing will inspire other people to be free and reach for the stars.

Introducing Le Marché - Hui Fest's newest edition of a free marketplace!

Hui Fest Le Marché (the market) is a small business-focused event brought to you by the creators of Hui Fest. This event is meant for small businesses to sell their food & crafts locally while short performances and music can be enjoyed for FREE throughout the day. This event was inspired by the Marché in Tahiti where local vendors and artisans gather to sell their crafts.
